Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for the StepUp4ICU Challenge (the Challenge), participants agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions and any instructions or rules provided by the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation

2. Eligibility

The Challenge is open to individuals aged 18 years and over. Participants may register as individuals or as part of a team.

3. Challenge Period

The Challenge will run from the 1^st of May 2026 to 31^st Of May 2026. Only steps or activity completed within this period will count toward the Challenge.

4. Registration and Participation

Participants must register via the official StepUp4ICU platform. Each participant is responsible for ensuring their details are accurate and up to date.

5. Tracking Activity

Steps or activity must be tracked using a fitness device or app (e.g., smartwatch or smartphone). Participants are responsible for syncing and submitting their activity data. The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation is not responsible for technical issues or data inaccuracies.

6. Fundraising

Participants are encouraged to raise funds in support of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation. All funds raised must be submitted through the official fundraising platform. Donations are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Health and Safety

Participants take part at their own risk. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they are physically fit to take part. Participants should consult a healthcare professional if unsure. The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation is not liable for any injury, illness, or loss sustained during participation.

8. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to:

• Act in a respectful and responsible manner
• Not engage in fraudulent activity (including falsifying step counts or donations)
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

• The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation reserves the right to remove participants who breach these conditions.

9. Use of Personal Information

By registering, participants consent to the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation collecting and using personal information for the purposes of administering the Challenge and communicating related updates. Information will be handled in accordance with the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation Privacy Policy.

10. Photography and Media

Participants consent to the use of their name, image and submitted content for promotional and marketing purposes related to the Challenge, unless they opt out in writing.

11. Changes and Cancellation

The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel StepUp4ICU if necessary, due to unforeseen circumstances.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of participation in the Challenge.
